Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist who has been a reporter for over 45 years focused on human suffering in conflict zones as well as natural disasters. Curry was a reporter in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry is a journalist anchorperson for television, reporter and anchorperson that was born on the 26th of June 1956. Curry is well-known for her reporting of humanitarian crises and natural disasters, especially in countries that have been devastated by conflict. Curry's maternal grandmother is Japanese as is her father, who was another American Naval Sailor. Curry met her mother when she was living with their father during Japan following World War II. Her father served in the military, and she moved around often. Curry finished her high school studies in Ashland Oregon. Following her graduation from the University of Oregon, Curry received a bachelor degree in journalism degree in 1978. As a child, she was exposed to diverse cultures. After moving to Los Angeles, she became a reporter at KCBS TV just four years after moving into the city. Through her KCBS-TV relationship of six years the station, she won the two Emmy Awards.
